Dan Pritchett, Senior Pastor
New Orleans has been my home since January 2009. My wife, Carianne, and I moved here from Mississippi to attend New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary after only being married for one week. Since that time, I have absolutely fallen in love with the city and its people. In those earlier years I worked down in the French Market selling jewelry in order to pay tuition and put food on the table.
While I was serving as a Sunday school teacher and occasional Wednesday night speaker at First Baptist New Orleans, I received a call to come and preach for six weeks at Memorial in 2011. I guess the short version is, I never left. Later that year I became Memorial’s senior pastor.
Everyone who knows me sees that I have a passion for preaching God’s word. I have a burning desire for the Bible to come alive in every person’s life who truly wants to know more about God. Since trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior, I have learned that church, religion, programs, and morality don’t change people. Only through a relationship with Jesus Christ and by having your life empowered by the Holy Spirit can you truly be transformed.
I want to encourage you to come visit us at Memorial. Our church would love to get to know you and walk alongside of you as you follow Christ.
